Ingredients
  

  • 2 –3 pounds chicken thighs or breasts
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 –3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 stalks green onions chopped
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

(Optional) ¼ cup pineapple juice

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and any optional add-ins.
  • Place chicken in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high (around 375–400°F).
  • Remove chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 5–7 minutes per side, checking that the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.
