Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey/chicken
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 medium carrots diced
  • 2 celery stalks sliced
  • 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 cups broth chicken or beef
  • cups macaroni or diced potatoes
  • Salt pepper, and paprika to taste

(Optional) 1 small bell pepper, chopped

(Optional) 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

(Optional) 1 cup beans (kidney or white), drained

Instructions
 

  • Sauté Onion & Garlic: Heat a pot over medium-high, add onion and garlic; cook for ~2–3 minutes.
  • Brown the Meat: Add ground meat; cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  • Combine Ingredients: Stir in carrots, celery, any optional add-ins, tomato sauce, and broth.
  • Simmer: Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for ~15 minutes, covered.
  • Add Pasta or Potatoes: Stir in macaroni or potatoes. Cook until tender, adjusting liquid as needed.
  • Season & Serve: Taste, season further if desired, and serve hot with crusty bread.
